GoPro Hero3 Wins “Best Newcomer Of The Year Award” From DIVER Magazine

Britain’s number one diving magazine “DIVER” has voted the GoPro Hero3 as the “Best Newcomer Of The Year”! – Click here to check out the camera for yourself
This category was hotly contested but the GoPro came out on top by popular demand. The fantastic award was presented at the London International Dive Show and GoPro UK Brand Manager Rhys Jones had this to say,

The Legend series of regulators are truly at the top of their game, thanks to their innovative overbalanced first stage. Whereas normal regulators simply work to match their pressure on a 1:1 basis as the diver descends, the Legend works exponentially at a 1.2 ratio. In simple terms this just means that when you are at 10m, the reg is performing as though it were at 12m, and when at 20m working as though at 24m etc. The result being am incredibly light and easy breathe throughout the whole dive. Quite literally once you try one, you’ll never go back to a basic balanced regulator ever again.
This superb breathing performance is enhanced further thanks to the lightweight second stage featuring both venturi and cracking effort resistance controls, giving the diver full control over the overall feel of the breathe. Additional features include high flex hoses, four low pressure and two high pressure hoses, and the superb ACD (or Automatic Closure Device) to prevent accidental water ingress into the first stage when rinsing.
